Biggest tire I can go with?

Anyone know what size of rear tire I can put on a 2005 with a 20" rim? I currently run a 285/30/20, but would like to go a little wider. The car is lowered.

Depending on the back spacing of your rim, you should be able to run 305 nicely but a 315 may be a little tight...

Roll the fenders throw a 335 u baby!!!! LOL jk Realistically I think a 305/35/20 will fit a 315 would be pushing it. Also depends on the backspacing of the rims and what kind of tire. A nitto 555r would probably fit in a 315.

Damn it, I thought I put that in there. The wheel is the BOSS 338 and it's 20x10. Not sure of the offset at this time.

    You'll max out at a 295 for a 10 inch rim.

Some try to stretch tires on rims that are not within the recommended spec for the tire, but the practice is dumb.

The Tire Manufacturers offer extensive info on wheel and tire specs. Here's Toyo's chart for the R888. Click here: SIZES & SPECIFICATIONS

I agree and disagree, I run a 315 30 18 on an 18x10. Run it hard at the track, street course what have you never had a issue. And I run toyo r888's like a lot of guys in the US. Its not ideal but it works.

    Agree, I run 20 x 10 with a 295/35/20 Nitto Invo.

i've seen 05-09 Saleen S281's put 315/35/20 Nitto's on a 20" x 10"wide OEM Saleen rear rim. It is possible, and without rolling the fender.
