d port heads and round headers

Found a sweet deal on a set of jba shorty headers. Problem is my truck has d-port heads. if the headers opening is bigger then the exhaust port will i have problems. they are used only for 200kms before engine swap to 4 valve. 4.6 2v newer mustang engine, and mine is a 5.4 3v....
only ask cause i hear in some cases you can do it and the cost of the headers is almost too good to turn down

If it is larger should be fine, as long as you can get a good seal. A lot of the Windsor headers are over size to accommodate exhaust ports moved up on aftermarket heads.

You will be fine and like mentioned a good seal is key.

bigger also minimizes the reversion wave from going back into the exhaust port
